Keep an activity log
Write down the date, exact or approximate time, room/location, people present, what happened, duration, and anything else that may have been occurring nearby.
Before You Request an Investigation
You do not need to prove anything before contacting VESPER. These simple steps can help us understand what has been happening and decide how best to proceed.
Write down the date, exact or approximate time, room/location, people present, what happened, duration, and anything else that may have been occurring nearby.
If you capture unusual audio, video, or photographs, keep the original files. Avoid repeatedly editing or enhancing the only copy.
Time of day, weather, HVAC cycles, appliances, traffic, renovations, pets, and other environmental conditions may reveal useful patterns.
If multiple people experience something, encourage each person to describe it independently before comparing stories.
You do not need to provoke, challenge, or repeatedly recreate an event before contacting us. Doing so can change the environment and complicate later interpretation.
If a sound, movement, electrical problem, or structural issue has an obvious professional route for evaluation, that information can be useful whether or not the case ultimately remains unexplained.
VESPER Activity Log
The log is designed to capture the information most useful to a later case review without asking you to interpret the cause.
When You Are Ready
After reviewing your submission, VESPER begins with written follow-up so we can clarify details, identify obvious gaps, and determine whether a phone conversation, preliminary visit, or investigation is warranted. This also helps us focus phone time on cases that have enough information to move forward.
